OSCA Membership Terms & Conditions
1. Application and Acceptance
No Guarantee of Acceptance: Submission of the membership application form does not constitute a confirmation of acceptance into the OSCA Saloon car class.
Committee Review: All applications are subject to review and approval by the OSCA Committee.
Written Confirmation: Membership will only be deemed official once the Committee provides confirmation in writing. This confirmation will include instructions for fee payments and any further membership requirements.
2. Compliance with Regulations and Series Articles
Binding Agreement: By submitting the membership application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by all current OSCA Regulations, Series Articles, and Schedules, as well as the overarching governing rules of MotorSport New Zealand (MSNZ).
Ongoing Compliance: Members must ensure their vehicles, safety gear, and racing conduct strictly adhere to these regulations at all times throughout the season.
3. Code of Conduct and Series Integrity
Bringing the Sport into Disrepute: OSCA operates on a foundation of mutual respect and sporting integrity. Members must not engage in any conduct, communication, or action—whether at the track, in public, or on digital/social media platforms—that brings the OSCA series, its committee, sponsors, officials, or fellow members into disrepute or disruption.
Zero-Tolerance Policy: OSCA enforces a strict, zero-tolerance policy toward any form of unsportsmanlike behavior. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Verbal abuse, intimidation, or bullying.
• Physical violence or threats of violence.
• Discriminatory or derogatory remarks.
Scope: This policy applies directly to the registered driver, as well as their pit crew, team members, and associated guests. Drivers are held fully accountable for the actions of their team.
4. Disciplinary Action and Termination
Right to Sanction: The OSCA Committee reserves the right to investigate any reported breaches of these Terms and Conditions or the Code of Conduct.
Penalties: Violations may result in immediate disciplinary action, which can include the forfeiture of championship points, temporary suspension, or permanent expulsion from the series.
No Refunds: In the event that a membership is revoked or suspended due to disciplinary breaches, all paid membership and entry fees are strictly non-refundable.
5. Media and Public Statements
Social Media Responsibility: Members must refrain from using public forums or social media to air grievances regarding technical decisions, judicial rulings, or official outcomes. All disputes must be handled through the official channels provided by the committee and MSNZ.
6. Amendments
The OSCA Committee reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, the Series Articles, and racing schedules at any time. Members will be notified of any significant changes in writing or via the official OSCA website.
